Skilled Nursing Facility
The Skilled Nursing Facility at Good Shepherd Fairview Home at Binghamton
offers professional nursing services and supervision 24 hours a day. Residents
are provided assistance with dressing, personal hygiene, bathing and ambulation.
Services also include supplies necessary for daily care, medication management,
dressings, treatments and nursing evaluation, routine dental care, and
professional care services as documented in the resident’s care plan. Residents
are also provided laundry and housekeeping services, three meals a day,
transportation, and case management.
As a resident in the Skilled Nursing Facility, you will reside in a private or semi-private room. Rooms are furnished with a bed, dresser, and chairs as needed. Personal furniture is permitted when not medically contraindicated.

Residents in the Skilled Nursing Facility enjoy the many social, religious, and therapeutic recreation programs the Home offers. Using a person-centered care approach, residents’ needs are identified and written into individualized care plans that are overseen by the nurse manager and a social worker. Dietary consultation and medically ordered diet adjustments are provided.
